Nigerian Government Commends Hilda Baci’s Jollof Record Attempt

The Nigerian Government has applauded celebrity chef Hilda Baci for her bold attempt to set a Guinness World Record with the largest pot of jollof rice.

Speaking at the event in Lagos, Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, praised Baci’s dedication and perseverance, describing her effort as a testament to Nigerian excellence.

He noted her meticulous preparation and strict commitment to hygiene, stressing that her ambition serves as an inspiration to young Nigerians.

The government also pledged its support for Baci’s historic attempt and other initiatives that showcase Nigerian talent on the global stage.

Conveying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s goodwill message, Idris—through the Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo—emphasized that Baci’s success would be celebrated as a national victory.

“Her dedication to excellence and her unrelenting pursuit of greatness exemplify the Nigerian spirit that the world has come to appreciate,” he said.
