Air Peace Secures Brazil Approval, Expands Global Network with New International Routes

West Africa’s largest carrier, Air Peace, has recorded a major breakthrough in its international expansion strategy after receiving approval from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) to operate scheduled passenger, cargo, and mail services between Nigeria and Brazil.
The approval, contained in ANAC Ordinance No. 19.449/2026, authorizes the airline to operate services between Brazil and destinations within its global network, paving the way for direct connectivity between both countries.
The development comes as the airline intensifies efforts to strengthen its presence across key global markets.
Air Peace has already applied for landing rights in Canada and the United States for planned operations into Toronto and New York, while also advancing plans to resume services to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Guangzhou, China.
In addition, the airline is working toward launching three weekly flights to Manchester in the United Kingdom, alongside further expansion across Africa, Europe, North America, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and South America.
Air Peace has also announced new regional routes scheduled to commence on August 1, including services to Libreville (Gabon), Conakry (Guinea), Bamako (Mali), and Douala (Cameroon), reinforcing its growing footprint across West and Central Africa.
The airline’s existing international network already spans London, Barbados, and several West African cities including Accra, Freetown, Dakar, Banjul, Monrovia, and Abidjan.
The planned Nigeria–Brazil route is expected to significantly reduce travel time between both countries from nearly two days, often involving multiple stopovers, to about seven hours on a direct flight.
The service is also projected to enhance tourism, trade, and investment flows, while strengthening cultural and diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Brazil.
Beyond passenger travel, the approval is anticipated to boost cargo operations and deepen economic cooperation between Nigeria, Brazil, and the wider South American region, addressing a long-standing gap in direct air connectivity.
With Brazil now added to its expanding list of international destinations and several strategic routes in the pipeline, Air Peace continues to position itself as a leading African carrier with global reach.
