Afrobeats superstar Davido celebrated the release of his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, with an intimate listening event in New York City, bringing together family, friends, industry colleagues and close collaborators ahead of the album’s official launch.

Hosted by Martell at the Amber Room on July 30, the event recreated the vibrant atmosphere of Lagos in the heart of New York. Among those in attendance were Davido’s wife, Chioma, longtime collaborator DJ ECool, manager Asa Asika, and several invited guests.

Before the album’s official midnight release, attendees were treated to an exclusive first listen as DJ ECool played all 13 tracks from the project. Davido later joined him on stage to perform some of the new songs, turning the private gathering into a lively celebration.

One of the night’s biggest highlights came when Ghanaian musician Black Sherif made a surprise appearance to perform “Amazing Grace,” his collaboration with Davido featured on the album.

Released through Sony Music UK/RCA Records, ORIADÉ marks another milestone in Davido’s career as he celebrates 15 years in the music industry. The 13-track album explores themes of destiny, family, gratitude, resilience and Nigerian pride. Its title is derived from the Yoruba words “Ori” (destiny or head) and “Adé” (crown).

The album features collaborations with Leon Thomas, Black Sherif, Aya Nakamura, Mayorkun, Fola, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay. Notable tracks include “Amazing Grace” featuring Black Sherif, “Already Falling,” and “Tell Everybody” featuring Leon Thomas.

ORIADÉ follows the release of the singles “I Know Who I Be” featuring JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, and “Gimme Dat Ting” with NO11, reflecting Davido’s continued evolution while staying rooted in his signature Afrobeats sound.
