‎FAAN Pledges Support for Army Welfare Flights

‎The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Army in strengthening its air transport operations and logistics framework.

‎Mrs. Kuku who gave the assurance during a meeting with senior officers of the Nigerian Army Corps in Lagos reiterated FAAN’s readiness to collaborate with the Nigerian Army.

‎“FAAN remains committed to supporting initiatives that enhance safe, secure and efficient air transport operations, while also improving passenger experience,” she stated.

‎She assured the delegation of the Authority’s support in facilitating smooth and efficient welfare flight operations in line with FAAN’s mandate.

‎Speaking during the engagement, Major General Shagaya said the visit was aimed at deepening the existing relationship between the Nigerian Army and FAAN, particularly in the area of air transport and logistics support.

‎“We are looking at strengthening existing collaboration with FAAN, especially in the areas of welfare, flight operations and the possible restart of the Nigerian Army Air Freight Company,” he said.

‎He explained that the Army was seeking FAAN’s cooperation in ensuring seamless operations for the proposed welfare flights.

‎According to him, the arrangement would improve the welfare and travel experience of personnel deployed across different operational locations nationwide.

‎The meeting underscores the ongoing efforts by both institutions to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and enhance logistics and welfare support for military personnel in Nigeria.
