Air Peace has taken delivery of its first brand-new Embraer E175 aircraft, marking another milestone in the airline’s fleet expansion and modernization programme.

The 88-seat aircraft, registered as 5N-CGH, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening after a ferry flight from Brazil, where it was officially handed over to the airline by aircraft manufacturer Embraer.

According to Air Peace, the Embraer E175 will support its domestic, regional and international operations by improving operational efficiency, strengthening route connectivity and enhancing passenger comfort.

Designed for short- to medium-haul routes, the aircraft features an all 2-2 seating configuration, eliminating middle seats.

It also offers leather seats, increased legroom, larger overhead storage compartments and wider windows to improve the onboard travel experience.

The airline said the aircraft is equipped with fuel-efficient engines and advanced aerodynamics that reduce fuel consumption, carbon emissions and noise, aligning with its sustainability goals.

Speaking on the development, Air Peace spokesperson, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the arrival as a significant step in the airline’s long-term fleet development strategy.

He said the Embraer E175 would provide greater flexibility for domestic and regional operations, enable increased flight frequencies, improve schedule reliability and support the airline’s expansion into new markets.

According to him, the acquisition also reflects Air Peace’s commitment to investing in modern aircraft to meet rising passenger demand while promoting regional connectivity, tourism and economic growth.

The airline said the addition of the Embraer E175 reinforces its drive to expand its network across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa and other international destinations while maintaining its focus on safe, reliable and efficient air transport.
