The 11th season of Big Brother Naija has officially been premiered.

The reality TV show which started on Sunday, introduced 24 contestants who will compete over the next 72 days for a record prize package worth ₦160 million.

Hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, this year’s edition carries the theme “Everything Is For The Taking,” also known as “Show Ya Sef,” with organisers promising fresh twists, a redesigned house and the biggest rewards in the show’s history.

The eventual winner will receive ₦100 million in cash and an SUV, forming the largest grand prize ever offered since the reality television show began.

The new housemates came from diverse backgrounds, including law, engineering, fashion, entertainment, business, broadcasting and technology, bringing a mix of personalities expected to keep viewers entertained throughout the season.

Among the contestants unveiled were Tram, a Lagos-based streamer; Temi Nkem, a model raised in London; Abi, a chef and model whose disclosure that she is married generated immediate reactions online; and Martins, a visual storyteller who also revealed he is currently in a relationship.

Other contestants include Chimsom Chuka, Keivo, Mercedes, Kamsi, Sultex, Aikou, Flora, Bells, Gerard, Oyin, Sheba, Araga, Ricky, Nomy, Barry, Neche, Yusuf, Goddessa, Bluethopia and Cassi.

The organisers also introduced a newly redesigned BBNaija house featuring an “upside-down” concept with colourful interiors intended to reflect the unpredictable nature of the competition.

According to MultiChoice, the house was developed over several months and transformed into a fully equipped production facility fitted with advanced cameras, microphones and other broadcast technology to ensure uninterrupted coverage throughout the season.

The company added that the annual reality show provides employment opportunities for more than 1,000 Nigerians, including engineers, carpenters, electricians, decorators, camera operators, caterers and other production personnel.

Executive Head of Content and Channels for West Africa, Atinuke Babatunde, said the new season builds on the programme’s legacy with fresh personalities, higher stakes and new twists designed to keep audiences engaged until the grand finale.

The premiere immediately sparked conversations across social media as fans began discussing the contestants, their backgrounds and possible favourites to emerge as winner of the 2026 edition.
