A Birthday of Gratitude: Cynthia Okere Reflects on God’s Faithfulness and the Journey So Far

Today, August 27, is more than another birthday for me. It is a day of gratitude — a moment to look back on my journey and acknowledge how gracious God has been to me.

There are blessings in my life today that I once never imagined or even thought possible. There have also been challenges, difficult moments and lessons along the way, but through them all, God has remained faithful.

As I mark another year, my heart is therefore filled not so much with requests, but with thanksgiving. I am grateful for life, family, career, growth, opportunities and the privilege of pursuing dreams that continue to unfold in ways I could not have planned myself.

I am particularly thankful for the journey of CeeWhy News. What began with a desire to create a platform for credible, responsible and useful journalism continues to grow, one story and one reader at a time.

Building an independent news platform comes with its challenges, but every milestone reminds me why the journey is worth pursuing. My commitment remains to build CeeWhy News into a trusted platform that informs its readers, gives visibility to meaningful stories and provides space for voices and issues that deserve public attention.

Overwhelmed by the Love

The goodwill messages, prayers, calls and expressions of love I have received on my birthday have been overwhelming.

To everyone who took time to celebrate me, pray for me, call, send a message or simply remember me today, I am deeply grateful. Your words have made this birthday even more memorable.

May God reward your kindness abundantly, answer your own prayers and give you many reasons to be celebrated.

As I begin another year of my life, my prayer is simple: that God continues to direct my steps and use my life and work for meaningful purposes.

For everything He has done, for everything He is doing and for everything still ahead, all I have come to say is: Thank You, Lord.

And to everyone who has been part of my journey — family, friends, colleagues, readers, supporters and the growing CeeWhy News community — thank you for standing with me.
