Nigerian airlines have borrowed more than N60bn from local banks to finance aviation fuel as soaring Jet A1 prices continue to worsen financial pressure on operators.
Dangote Refinery has retained its position as Europe's largest imported jet fuel supplier for the second consecutive month, exporting over 400,000 tonnes in July and overtaking the United States in the aviation fuel market.
