Flight operations have been disrupted at Lagos and Abuja airports as aviation unions picket domestic airlines over alleged non-remittance of the five per cent Ticket Sales Charge and workers’ unionisation rights.
FAAN has confirmed that no fire occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. The authority said smoke inside the terminal resulted from the discharge of the FM-200 fire suppression system, while investigations into the cause of the activation are ongoing.
